Scheduling and Services
| Question | Answer |
| How do I schedule an appointment? | You can schedule an appointment by calling us directly at (208) 524- 2040. Appointments are made on a first come first serve basis. Call for availability. |
| How long does a windshield replacement take? | A standard windshield replacement typically takes between 3-4 hours. This includes the necessary Safe Drive Away Time (SDAT), which you must follow after the service is complete. |
| What is Safe Drive Away Time (SDAT)? | SDAT is the time required for the adhesive (urethane) used to bond your new windshield to the vehicle frame to cure to a safe level. This is crucial for your safety. We use high-quality, fast-curing adhesives. The SDAT for our service is typically 1-2 hours. We will confirm the exact time before you leave. |
| Do you offer mobile service? | No. We do not currently offer mobile windshield Replacements. All windshield replacements are scheduled and completed within our shop. |
| Can you replace other windows, like side or rear glass? | Absolutely. We specialize in replacing all auto glass, including door glass, quarter glass, and back glass (rear windows). |
Insurance and Payment
| Question | Answer |
| Do you work with my insurance company? | Yes, we work with all major insurance carriers. We are a preferred provider for most companies. We can handle the claim submission process for you from start to finish. |
| How do I know if my insurance covers the replacement? | Coverage depends on your policy. If you have comprehensive coverage, your glass replacement is often covered. Many states/policies offer zero-deductible glass coverage. We can call your agent or provider on your behalf to verify your coverage and deductible. |
| What is my out-of-pocket cost? | Your cost will be your insurance deductible (if one applies), or the full cost of the service if you choose not to use insurance. We will provide a free, no-obligation quote before any work begins. |
| What forms of payment do you accept? | We accept and prefer cash. However, we also accept all major credit/debit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Amex, Discover). |
Materials and Quality
| Question | Answer |
| Do you use Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) or Aftermarket glass? | We offer both OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) and OE-equivalent/Aftermarket (Aftermarket) glass, depending on your preference and budget. Both meet or exceed Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS). We will discuss your options with you. |
| What about my vehicle's Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS)? | If your vehicle has ADAS features (e.g., Lane Departure Warning, Automatic Emergency Braking) that rely on a camera mounted on the windshield, a camera recalibration is required after replacement. We are certified and equipped to perform the necessary static or dynamic recalibration to ensure your safety systems function correctly. |
| Is there a warranty on the replacement? | Yes, we offer a Lifetime Warranty on our workmanship and the seal against leaks, stress cracks, and defects in the glass (excluding new damage). We also offer rock chip repairs on all windshield replacements. Please ask for a copy of our detailed warranty terms. |
